Quick Tips for Organizing Your Laundry Room

September 10, 2009 · Comments Off

Laundry---smaller

1.  Gather All-Weather Gear

By getting all of your hats, gloves, sunglasses, scarves, etc. that are scattered throughout the house into one place, things will be just that much easier to find.  Julie Morgenstern, author of Organized from the Inside Out, says “Rather than retrain your family, store things beautifully where people drop them.”

2. Contain Your Cleaning Supplies

Try storing cleaning supplies in a basket from Saint Louis Closet Co.  Our baskets come in 6″, 11″ and 17″ heights, and can significantly help you organize the way you clean your home.

3. Create a Pet Zone

Let’s face it, if you have a dog or cat, they can take over the floors of your household.  Creating a designated place to store all of your pets’ toys, care items, leashes, etc. will make life a little more sane when it comes to cleaning up after your pets.

4. Pre-Sort Dirty Clothes in Hampers

Cut down on laundry time by pre-sorting your clothes.  Three laundry hampers are ideal for whites, lights and darks.  Saint Louis Closet Co. has tilt out laundry hampers that are perfect for just this scenario.  Get the family involved by having each family member bring their own clothes to the laundry room.

5. Create a Laundry Room “Lost and Found”

Designate a drawer or small basket to put single socks, gloves, etc.  That way, when its match pops up, you know exactly where to find its partner!

Now is the Time to Invest in Your Home!!

March 27, 2009 · Comments Off

locker

What better place to see return on your investment when the economy gets back on track than on your home?  If you cannot afford to move to a bigger home, there is no better way to make your space work for you and your family than to invest in your current home. Keeping clutter under control–and keeping it that way–is critical to selling your home for a good price.

Having organized closets is listed in the top ten reasons why people buy homes, according to HomeBuying.com, and it might be surprising to many consumers just how affordable it is.  At Saint Louis Closet Co., the average closet system only costs about $500 and most installations are completed in less than a day.

Being organized saves you time and money.  Imagine how much money you are wasting each year by re-buying things that, unbeknownst to you, your family already owns.  By having a place in your home for everything, you will know exactly where your family’s inventory stands, thereby saving hundreds maybe even thousands of dollars every year.

Saint Louis Closet Co. is proud to offer 100% adjustable organizational systems for both our residential and commercial customers. If you have a space in need of some organization, we can help.  We specialize in closets, pantries, home offices, Murphy beds, laundry rooms, mudrooms, lockers, and much more. When you get a Saint Louis Closet Co. closet, you can be sure you are getting the highest quality system available, and every closet comes with a 100% lifetime guarantee.  Saint Louis Closet Co. is currently running a 20% off sale on all custom closets until May 1, 2009. To schedule your free in-home estimate, call us today at (314) 781-9000!!
